Pirates of the Caribbean actress Keira Knightley has let her life imitate art by renting a boat on the weekends.

But the boat is a bit more suited to Rosie and Jim than Jack Sparrow and Co..

Keira, and actor boyfriend Rupert Friend, have been using a canal barge docked in East London as a secret getaway.

Keira Knightley meets fans last night after performing in The Misanthrope.

A neighbour told The Sun: “They spend most weekends on it, brewing up pots of tea.

"They're a very sweet couple.

"They like nothing better than strolling along the canal hand in hand and going to the chippy for a fish supper.”

Keira is currently starring alongside Damian Lewis in The Misanthrope, and Rupert is in The Little Dog Laughed with St Trinians actress Gemma Arterton.
