Madonna and boyfriend Jesus Luz are trying for a baby together, it's been reported.

The 51-year-old singer, who began dating the model last year, is said to have spoken to doctors about the possibility of having another child.

A friend told the Sun newspaper the mother of four was “ready for the challenge” of adding to her family.

Referring to Madonna by her nickname Em, the pal added: “Em says motherhood is her greatest achievement and the most fulfilling thing in her life.”

Madonna is already mum to Lourdes, 13 and Rocco, 9, and the adoptive parent of four-year-old Malawians David Banda and Mercy James.

Jesus, 22, is thought to be close to Madonna's own family but apparently wants children of his own.

The pair began dating last year after they met on a photo shoot shortly after the singer's split from husband Guy Ritchie.
