Mariah Carey has revealed that she decided to take it easy on the champagne at the Golden Globes last night.

The singer was left red-faced earlier this month when she appeared “merry” at the Palm Springs International Festival.

Mariah, who won the breakthrough acting award for new movie Precious, stumbled with her words during her acceptance.

But there was no such repeat at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles, where the star said she only had “two sips” of bubbly.

And she admitted that she wasn't concerned about her performance at Palm Springs earlier this month.

"Whatever, that was so not a big deal," Mariah told Us magazine.

Instead, Mariah managed to court attention on the red carpet last night by wearing a rather revealing black dress.
