It seems that Russell Brand may be departing the UK to seek a love shack on US shores.
The comedian-turned-actor confirmed his engagement to singer Katy Perry last week.
And now it seems Russell is hoping to join the I Kissed A Girl star stateside.
A source told Heat Magazine: "The official reason is that he needs a place that can be a stopover between his two main work bases - Los Angeles and London.
"But the real reason has a lot more to do with Katy.
"He's never been much for settling down, and now, all of a sudden, he's dating Katy and looking for homes in LA and New York, the locations where she works a lot."
The source added that Katy's only requirement was that she had enough room to put her shoes.
"Her main request is only that the New York place has a huge walk-in closet for all of her shoes," the insisder added.
"It sounds like she certainly plans on making herself at home."
The verbal quipping comedian was also recently reported to have bought an expensive pad in LA after putting his London abode up for sale.
