Lily Allen has revealed she's given up trying to achieve a slim body like Cheryl Cole.

Allen, who has previously criticised the Girls Aloud star and X Factor judge, said she had grown comfortable with her own image.

“I'll never be teeny tiny like Cheryl Cole or Dannii Minogue, but I've stopped comparing myself,” she told Grazia.

“Put me next to the average British woman and I'm fine. I'm normal. I'm over beating myself up about it."

The Smile singer also spoke candidly during the interview about her 2008 miscarriage, which she described as “the worst time of my life”.

Allen said she still has therapy because she struggles to talk about the tragedy.

"I have therapy on and off but at that time it really helped me. Then I started to deal with it and move on,” she said.

“I still get sad. I still think. I don't mark (what would have been) my baby's birth but it's always there. It changed a lot."
