Tiger Woods has set sail on his private yacht in a bid to escape speculation about his private life, according to reports.
The golfer, who has admitted to being unfaithful to his wife, Elin, is believed to have left a Florida port for the Bahamas on Saturday morning.
People magazine reports that Woods has been joined on the trip by close friends, including some golfers.
It is not known how long he plans to spend at sea.
"Tiger's boat Privacy has been docked at Old Port Cove in North Palm Beach for more than a week," a source said.
"On Saturday morning, after stocking up on provisions from Costco on Northlake Blvd., the boat left town."
Meanwhile, it has been suggested that Woods' wife is not planning to divorce the golfer “immediately”, as had been previously reported.
However, TMZ reports that the 29-year-old former Swedish model is concerned about reports her husband had an affair while she was pregnant.
