Angelina Jolie has a “secret” second family of orphans, according to a new tabloid report.

In addition to the six biological and adopted children she raises with Brad Pitt, the actress supports three girls and four boys at the SOS Children’s Village in Amman, Jordan, it's claimed.

Angelina first visited the villiage in 2003, and returned with Brad earlier this year.

“Angelina considers the orphans as her own family," a source tells the National Enquirer.

"She stays in touch with them and really cares about how they are doing. That’s why she was so excited about taking Brad to see them. They both feel this is a way they can help so many more children.”

Orphanage employee Aysha Shahin said: "On her visit, Angelina just wanted to play with the kids and have fun.

“She spent time with the family and spoke with the mother, Fatima. Some of the teenagers had come back from university to see her and she was giving them advice about life and school.

“It was Brad’s first visit to the SOS Village and he was amazed by everything.”

It's been previously reported Angelina made a commitment to covering the running costs of one family house in the village back in 2003.

The SOS project has reportedly received $1 million from the Jolie/Pitt Foundation.
