Russell Brand has spoken about his relationship with singer Katy Perry.

The comedian, who began dating the I Kissed A Girl star in September, said the couple were “happy together”.

He told GMTV: "There was a deep craving within me. I mistook it for lust. I thought I was promiscuous. It turns out I was thorough.”

“It's really nice and relaxing (being in a relationship).”

Brand had previously been quoted as saying he would “love” to marry Perry – but he appeared less forthright today.

"I don't know. That would be good. I do want to have children,” he said.

The comedian and actor also revealed he was in the process of applying for a pet passport for his cat Morrissey.

“I am getting him a pet passport which means he can travel around as much as he likes,” he said.

“Unfortunately, they don't do photos. I was really looking forward to that."

His comments follow reports - which Brand has denied - he was set to leave the UK to move to Los Angeles.
