Katie Price “begged” Peter Andre to take her back during a phone call on Monday, it's been reported.

The former glamour model is said to have phoned her ex-husband after walking out of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

According to The Sun newspaper, Price told Andre, who has previously vowed never to return to his former wife, that she “messed up”.

"She said she was sorry for being such a b**ch to him,” a friend of the singer's said.

"She asked him straight out if there was any chance they could get back together and pleaded for a reunion.

"She was telling him she just couldn't stop thinking of him and their life together."

The friend added: "The idea of a reunion is not something Pete would even consider. They are divorced and that's it."

A spokesperson for Price confirmed that she had phoned Andre but said the pair discussed their children.

Price walked out of the jungle after the public turned against her. She is currently en route back to the UK.
