Katie Price is to fly back to the United Kingdom after quitting I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

The former glamour model had been due to stay in Australia until her contract with the programme expired on December 5.

However, in a message on Twitter last night she announced that she was coming back early because she missed her children.

She wrote: "At last I got out my contract. I'm coming home to my children. Soooo excited."

Price walked out of the jungle on Sunday after the public turned against her.

As well as fulfilling her contract with I'm A Celebrity, she had also been expected to remain in the country to film episodes of her reality show.

Price's ex-husband Peter Andre has been caring for the former couple's children – Junior, 4, and Princess Tiaamii, 2 – while their mother has been away.

According to The Sun newspaper, Price's reported £350,000 contract was slashed in order for her to return.

The former glamour model shocked viewers on Monday when she dumped boyfriend Alex Reid during a live TV interview.
