Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart took to Twitter to express their gratitude to fans for taking Twilight sequel New Moon to the top of the box-office charts.
The rumoured real-life couple (or at least someone officially sanctioned to pretend to be them) each posted a personal message of thanks on Summit Entertainment's official page.
Rob Tweeted: “Thank you for making NEW MOON #1. It's very exciting to be a part of something embraced by so many people. I hope you are looking forward to ECLIPSE as much as I am.”
And Kristen wrote: “You all have proven you're the most amazing fans in the world once again. I feel so lucky to be a part of The Twilight Saga and thank you for making us #1!”
Acknowledging the fact that she (and Rob) famously don't have their own Twitter accounts, she added: “Yes, I twittered. Or twitted..tweeted? I dunno, but thank you sooo much anyway..!
Rob made his Twitter debut on co-star Peter Facinelli’s official page in September - apparently under duress.
His update read: “Hi, it's Rob... My first and last tweet. My dad made me do it.”
