Rihanna chose London as the destination of her first full live show since being assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown.

The Umbrella star launched new album Rated R in spectacular style with a not-so-secret performance at the Brixton Academy.

Taking to the stage in a lace mask and studded leotard, the 21-year-old debuted new tracks, including recent single Russian Roulette.

As rumoured, Jay-Z joined Rihanna on stage for Run This Town and show closer Umbrella, while Beyonce - who is currently in the UK on tour - provided support from the sidelines.

Later the trio headed to the afterparty at Mahiki, Bey-Z's second night at the venue on the trot.
