Liam Gallagher has launched a vicious attack against X Factor stars John and Edward.

The former Oasis singer said he found the 18-year-old Irish twins even more annoying than his own brother, Noel.

"I know all about annoying f**king brothers. But nobody comes close to them,” the singer told the Daily Mirror.

“How do you not smack them? What the f**k is happening to British music?

"And what are those things on their heads?"

John and Edward were controversially saved by the public vote on Saturday's edition of The X Factor.

The pair have entertained the public with energetic dance routines despite ongoing questions over whether they can sing.
