Twilight star Taylor Lautner stayed quiet over rumours he is dating singer Taylor Swift during a press conference in Hollywood on Friday.

US media reports have repeatedly linked the pair, who both star in forthcoming movie Valentine's Day, over recent months.

And Swift, 19, admitted during a recent interview that she found 17-year-old “cute”.

However, Lautner, 17, was less forthcoming about Swift when he was asked about their reported romance at a press event for The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

"The very funny thing is that all of you have seen every single move I make, so I guess I can leave that up to you to decide," he said.

But Lautner did admit that he found reports the singer was writing a song about him “scary”.

The actor was joined by the entire cast of New Moon, including Robert Pattinson, at the press conference.

The film, which is the second installment of the vampire franchise, is released worldwide on November 20.
