Lindsay Lohan claims her estranged father threatened to kill her mother Dina if she ever left him.

The actress is hitting back at dad Michael Lohan after he released private phone conversations to the press in a supposed bid to get her into rehab for an alleged addiction to prescription drugs.

After previously informing her Twitter followers her dad is a “lunatic”, she Tweeted: "She blames herself for staying w/him for so long, I'd beg her not to leave b/c he always threatened to kill her if she did after disappearing, then coming home after being gone for several days while cheating on my mother & abusing substances."

Michael, of course, has responded (via the New York Post's Page Six column), calling Lindsay's allegations a “lie” and vowing to release more recordings to “prove everything she is saying is nothing more than a bunch of lies.”

In the first leaked telephone call, Lindsay can be heard sobbing uncontrollably and despairing, "No one cares about me. They don’t, by the way. It’s about how they feel, not how I feel. It’s not about me. It’s never been about me, unless I fight for it.”

In the second, her mother Dina says of Lindsay, "She's really sad and really hurt and really - despondent...I told her not to go to LA at 18. She did. I couldn't leave these other three [children] to go get her and, like, it was just a mess.

"You don't even know what I went through trying to get her into, like, rehab and stuff," Dina continued, "[She'd] punch me in the face, threw me out of the car...like you don't know the [bleep] I went through trying to get her an intervention by myself. It was very difficult."

Meanwhile, Lindsay possibly didn't do herself any favours by appearing noticably squiffy of eye and bloaty of tum as she was escorted from a house party in Los Angeles by a male pal last night (see above.)
