Russell Brand has broken his silence over his relationship with Katy Perry.

The comedian, who hooked up with Perry in September, admitted he was smitten with the I Kissed A Girl singer.

He told the Daily Mirror: “You have made me blush, but to be honest I haven’t stopped smiling.

“She’s a lovely girl and it’s going really, really well. In fact I’ve never felt more settled in all of my life.

“Katy is fantastic. I’m really happy.”

The couple have rarely been apart since Brand wooed Perry with a love poem at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

They are expected to appear together at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin on Thursday, where Perry is hosting.
