Brad Pitt was almost unrecognisable as he touched down in Japan on Tuesday morning.

The bearded actor's modest outfit, which was accompanied with a hat and dark sunglasses, enabled him to keep an unusually low profile.

Pitt even managed to evade a crowd of waiting fans who had gathered inside Narita International Airport in Tokyo.

It is the second time in a week that Pitt has attempted to disguise himself in public.

On Saturday, the actor dressed as DJ Lance Rock as he joined girlfriend Angelina Jolie and their children for a spot of trick or treating in Los Angeles.

But his Yo GabbaGabba! outfit was exposed by locals, who took pictures of the family's Halloween outing.
