Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz says the forthcoming movie has been faithful to the original book.
Fans had raised concerns over whether the storyline between lead characters Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) would be changed for the film.
However, in an interview with MTV, Weitz stressed that he had not made any alterations that could upset fans.
"I can assure you we're staying very, very close [to the book]," Weitz said. "No one will feel that I have betrayed Edward and Bella's relationship."
Bella and Edward grow close at the start of the second movie before Edward flees under the strain of their relationship.
New Moon, which is the second installment of The Twilight Saga, is released worldwide on November 20.
Meanwhile, Pattinson and Stewart were spotted arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles from Vancouver yesterday.
