Katie Price's mother Amy has accused her daughter's ex-husband Peter Andre of being “manipulative, moody and verbally aggressive”.

Amy Price, 56, said the singer's popular public persona was part of an act and claimed he had failed to support Price when she suffered a miscarriage earlier this year.

“As far as Pete was concerned, he was like, ‘Come on, it’s happened. You have to move on’,” Price's mum told the Daily Mirror.

“You could see that when they filmed the London Marathon immediately afterwards for ITV , he didn’t seem to give two sh*ts about her.”

Andre, who left Price just days after they ran the marathon together, has won the public's affection since their split.

But Amy Price claimed the singer was just a “great actor” who can “turn it on and off” when in front of the camera.

“When filming was on, he was always quite bubbly, but I have seen Peter when he’s on one of his lows, especially when he’s manipulative, moody and verbally aggressive,” she said.
 
“One day he was rowing with Kate while she had post-natal depression and I left to go home but I was a bit worried.
 
“She was vulnerable and he was laying into her – not physically, but verbally – and I had to go back to make sure she was all right.”
 
Responding to Amy Price's claims, a spokesperson for Andre said: “This is not worth commenting on”.

Meanwhile, Price is apparently currently having relationship troubles with her new boyfriend Alex Reid.

The couple are understood to have fallen out over reports the cage fighter became obsessed with a transsexual while in Thailand in 2006.
