Jennifer Aniston is reportedly “terrified” she will soon lose her beloved mutt Norman.

It's claimed the actress fears the worst after recently discovered her 14-year-old Corgi-Terrier was suffering from some severe health problems.

"Norman is old and hasn't been doing well," a source tells US OK! magazine. "She's terrified her best friend could soon be gone."

Norman has almost become a celebrity in his own right after featuring in numerous tabloid stories over the years.

It's been rumoured that he and Jen's ex John Mayer got off on the wrong foot/paw, and that he enjoys weekly massages, Reiki and acupuncture treatments. Oh, and doggie therapy at $250 a pop.

The Love Happens star even once admitted she wishes men were as faithful as her loyal pet.

"It wouldn't be bad if, when a man comes home, he'd run to his woman with his tail wagging," she said.

"This sort of excitement is something I've always missed in a man to be honest."

The actress also has a three-year-old white German Shepherd called Dolly.
