We'll never know if the songstress would have emerged from her booksigning unscathed had her attacker had a lifesize model of the pop superstar to vent his frustration on instead (not that we're advocating violence towards waxworks, of course.)

The wax likeness wears one of her trademark glittery gowns and clutches a microphone stand as if just about to belt out one of her multi-platinum selling power ballads.

Leona is the latest addition to Madame Tussauds London, where she appears alongside fellow pop princesses Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse and Kylie Minogue.

Meanwhile, the man who allegedly struck the singer as she signed copies of her autobiography 'Dreams' at a Waterstones bookstore in London last week is due to appear in court on October 26 in connection with the incident.
