Megan Fox Turns Over A New Leaf And Praises Transformers

Megan Fox has performed a complete U-turn and praised the movie franchise Transformers for giving her “a career”.

The 23-year-old actress came under fire in July after she suggested the movie didn't focus on acting.

“I don't want to blow smoke up people's ass. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting,” Fox said.

Her comments were described as “ridiculous” by Transformers director Michael Bay, who said they proved the actress still had “a lot of growing up to do”.

However, during an appearance at Spike TV's fourth annual Scream Awards over the weekend, Fox tried to play down her past criticisms.

The actress, who won the award for Best Sci-Fi Actress, said: "I don't usually do this, but I wanted to say something.

"There have been a lot of false reports about how I feel about this movie. I just want to be very clear that I've always felt I'm a very ordinary part of an extraordinary film."

She added: "The movie took me out of obscurity and gave me a career, and I'm completely grateful to everyone involved with this franchise."

The latest film in the series, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is out on DVD now.
