Victoria Beckham is in talks to film a cameo role in the hit US teen drama Gossip Girl, it's been reported.
The former Spice Girl is understood to have been invited onto the show by stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester.
The fashionable trio discussed the idea at the New York opening of Beckham's new fashion line in September, according to the Daily Mirror.
A source said: "The trio started chatting and Victoria revealed she was a huge fan of the show.
“From here, Blake pleaded with her to guest star in an episode and ran the idea past producers."
But Posh, who could film her part this month, is understood to have laid down some ground rules ahead of a possible appearance.
“She isn't an actress and wanted her role to be very tongue-in-cheek. And an idea for her to play Brit actor Ed Westwick's long-lost mother was quickly vetoed,” the insider said.
“Victoria joked that she'd rather play his ex-love interest!"
Beckham has previously made a special guest appearance as herself in Ugly Betty.
Hilary Duff, Lady GaGa and US band Sonic Youth are among the celebrities and musicians who have already filmed guest parts for the new series of Gossip Girl.
