Lindsay Lohan hasn't been looking herself lately – and no more so than at last night's Whitney Museum Gala.

The actress seemed in good spirits as she arrived at the glittering event blowing kisses to the assembled paparazzi in her fury pink coat.

Inside, however, her stunning strapless Versace dress failed to make up for her puffy, washed-out face and glassy-eyed expression.

So what's going on? Some have suggested that Lindsay's slightly 'off' appearance of late is down to dabbling in some unnecessary (at the tender age of 23) cosmetic procedures.

But whilst the actress appears to have had injections to plump up her lips, we can't helping thinking Lindsay's lifestyle (and we've heard some very disturbing accounts in recent weeks) is rapidly taking it's toll on her looks.

Lindsay was recently granted an extra year to complete the alcohol awareness program she was ordered to take as as part of her three-year probation for a charge of DUI in 2007.

On eyewitness in the Beverly Hills courtroom described the Mean Girls star as appearing “dishevelled and strung-out with blood shot eyes and an alarmingly skinny frame.”

Maybe daddy was on to something...
