Russell Brand 'Buys Katy Perry A Zoo For 25th Birthday'

This weekend...

Tuesday 20th Oct 2009

Russell Brand has reportedly bought Katy Perry an animatronic zoo for her 25th birthday.

The comedian was apparently taken by the idea after the pair spotted the attraction at a temporary farmer's market in Hollywood last weekend.

The zoo, which includes an interactive milking cow, had been set-up at the Grove complex but Perry refused to go on it over fears she would be photographed.

However, Brand is understood to have asked for the contact details of the organisers and has now arranged for it to be brought to the singer's home.

A source told The Sun: "[Perry] was really taken with the petting zoo temporarily set up next to the Farmer's Market.

"There are real animals in one section and then this amazing fake menagerie for kids.

"You can milk the cow and ride on the pony. It's very kitsch and fun."

Brand flew out from London last week to join the singer in Los Angeles.

The pair have been almost inseparable since the comedian wooed Perry with a love poem after the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

  • It wasn't "a farmers's market," it was the Original Farmers Market at 3rd & Fairfax. The Grove had nothing to do with the event. There were no paparazzi at the event, so the only chance of being photographed would have come from fans; daily, celebrities at the Market go about their business without hassle or interference. Finally, it's not a temporary market -- it's been there for 75 years and the event these folks attended was the Market's 75th Annual Fall Festival.
