The soundtrack to The Twilight Saga: New Moon will now be released on Friday.

A statement said the release date had been brought forward by four days due to the "overwhelming and unprecedented" demand for the album.

However, the decision comes just days after copies of the soundtrack began appearing on file-sharing websites.

The score includes new songs by Death Cab For Cutie, Thom Yorke and The Killers, as well as re-recorded tracks by Muse and Editors.

It will accompany the much anticipated film, which is released in cinemas worldwide on November 20.

The second instalment of the vampire saga sees Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reprise their roles as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.
