Cheryl Cole 'To Pre-Record X Factor Performance'

Cheryl Cole will pre-record her performance on The X Factor on Saturday, it's been reported.

Cole is due to perform her debut solo single Fight For This Love and is said to be keen to avoid a repeat of Girls Aloud's embarrassing appearance last October.

The girl group famously battled tuning difficulties as they sang hit single The Promise on the talent show.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Cheryl is the break-out star of Girls Aloud and there are big plans for her.

"Nobody - neither on the X Factor nor her record label Polydor - wants to see her fail, which is why we thought it was better for Cheryl to mime her performance.”

A spokesman for The X Factor confirmed Cole would be pre-recording her performance, but insisted it was due to her commitments as a judge on the live show.

The Girls Aloud star is currently on a promotional tour for her single and debut album 3 Words.
