Beyonce Thought 'No, No, No!!' As Kanye West Interrupted Taylor Swift At VMAs

Beyonce has spoken for the first time about pal Kanye West's gatecrashing of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the VMAs.

TV cameras panned to a horrified Beyonce as the Stronger star grabbed the mic and uttered the immortal lines, “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’m-a let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. OF ALL TIME!”

"Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art," she reveals.

"He told me before, when they said the nominees, he was like, 'You have this award.'

"And when they didn't call my name he was, like, completely shocked.

"When he walked on the stage, I was like, 'No, no, no!' Then he spoke, and I was like, 'Oh, no, no, no!'"

Beyonce brought Taylor back on stage when she won an award later in the ceremony so the younger star could continue her acceptance speech uninterrupted.

She added: "It ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment - and I didn't have to make an acceptance speech!"
