Two of Katie Price's friends confronted her ex-husband Peter Andre in a restaurant in London on Tuesday, it has emerged.

The singer was dining with pals Mel B and Chantelle Houghton at the Mayfair hotel when Gary Cockerill and partner Phil Turner walked up to their table.

The couple are reported to have shouted abuse at Andre, with Turner apparently labelling him a “f***ing b*****d”.

Peter Andre had been enjoying dinner with friends when the pair arrived.

“Phil was being an idiot and ended up going over to yell at Andre's table of guests,” a source told The Sun newspaper.

“He was being seriously out of order.”

The singer went to the casino while the situation was diffused.

Andre was led away from the heated confrontation by his aides while the pair continued to shout at Houghton and Nicola McLean, who was also dining with the singer.

It was eventually left to Andre and Houghton's manager Claire Powell to diffuse the situation.

Cockerill and Turner are both close friends with Price, who was divorced from the Australian singer last month.
