Russell Brand and Katy Perry enjoyed a romantic getaway in Thailand last week, it's been reported.

The pair are understood to have been inseparable since hooking up at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York in September.

According to The Sun newspaper, Brand then courted the I Kissed A Girl star with a love poem, to which Perry replied by sending a picture of her breasts with the word 'poem' written on them.

The pair had apparently been hoping to keep details of their trip to Thailand secret, but Perry last night spoke about it on Twitter.

She described the break as “magical”, adding: "Been schooled on MORRISSEY, OSCAR WILDE & PETER SELLERS."

All three men are known to be among Brand's musical and literary idols.
