Robert Pattinson has said he doesn't plan to use his new-found fame to pick and choose what films he stars in in the future.

In an interview with AnOther Man, the 23-year-old Twilight star played down the acting credentials he could bring to other movies.

But Pattinson, who has previously spoken about launching a music career, also insisted that he didn't want to be an actor for the “sake of it”.

“Annoyingly, there are so few parts I feel I can add anything to, or that I want to do,” he said.

“I don’t want to be an actor for the sake of it. I don’t find any particular pleasure in being an attention-seeker.”

Pattinson is currently shooting Eclipse - the third installment of The Twilight Saga - in Vancouver.
