Mischa Barton's Beautiful Life Is Over

Mischa Barton's big TV comeback has been cut short after her new show was cancelled after just two episodes.

The Beautiful Life – about a group of models living together in New York – was dropped by CW network in the US after disappointing ratings.

The cast and crew of the Ashton Kutcher-produced show were informed their services were no longer need as they filmed the seventh episode.

Mischa started work on the show just weeks after a spell in a Los Angeles hospital for undisclosed reasons.

It was reported the star was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold after a prolonged drugs binge, but the former OC actress insisted her hospitalisation was linked to botched surgery to remove her wisdom teeth.

We hope her sudden unemployment doesn't bring on another tooth ache...
