Robert Pattinson has been described as a "frog in boiling water" by House star Olivia Wilde.

The actress – who plays Dr Hadley in the medical drama – is referring to the Twilight star's rise from little-known British actor to global heartthrob on account of the phenomenal success of the vampire saga.

"I did not envy him," she says when discussing a recent run-in with the actor. "I think it's the 'frog in boiling water' concept.

"Robert Pattinson jumped in boiling water and has stayed in it, and hopefully will survive.

"Whereas I entered the water when it was cold and it's been slowly heating up - a slow boil."

Still, the Year One beauty thinks Rob has handled himself well in the spotlight - and maybe she won't be so savy.

"Maybe I won't realise when it's getting dangerous," she says.
