Peter Andre has said he hopes that he will be able to rekindle his friendship with his ex-wife Katie Price for the sake of their children.

The former couple, who have two kids – Junior, 4, and Princess, 2 – have been involved in a bitter public feud since their split in May.

However, in an interview on Live from Studio Five, Andre said he was confident they could reach a “comprise” when it came to their children.

"I have said before that I reckon for the sake of your kids you will do a lot, you will compromise and do things and, I think, yes there will be a point, just when things are a bit raw,” he said.

“In the big picture it’s only been four months.

"I've thought about it for the kids, but I’ve not thought about how or when I just know that time is a healer, everybody says that, and I believe it."

Andre also spoke about his intention to keep his children out of the media spotlight following their parent's split.
