Twilight co-stars and reported couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart went on a brief holiday together recently, according to a US magazine.

The pair are said to have stayed in a bed and breakfast on Mayne Island in Canada during a break in filming on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

According to Star, Pattinson and Stewart both wore baseball caps and sunglasses during the trip in a bid to remain anonymous.

"Rob has wanted to get away with Kristen for a while now, somewhere really quiet that's not full of tourists,” a source said.

"The weather was really nice and there are lots of outdoorsy things to do, but they just stayed in their room most of the time."

Neither Pattinson nor Stewart have confirmed the long standing rumours that they are dating.

As Entertainmentwise reported earlier, the pair joined fellow Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner at last night's MTV VMAs to unveil the trailer to New Moon.

The trio thanked fans of the film during an appearance on stage in New York.
