Peter Andre has hired two former SAS men to protect him from two female stalkers, it's been reported.

The women are said to have been spotted outside the singer's home in Brighton and at his various public appearances.

“It has freaked Pete out a bit,” a source told the Daily Mirror. “Now he’s not taking any chances. Safety is his No1 priority.”

Andre has apparently been inundated with gifts from female admirers since his split from former wife Katie Price.

“In recent weeks the attention has really escalated, but it’s now getting a little bit too intense,” the source added.

Andre, who releases his new album today, wowed fans with a performance on the Clipper music stage in Hull yesterday.

The singer was watched from the side of the stage by his son, Junior, 4.
