Peter Andre has said his estranged wife Katie Price never mentioned to him during their marriage that she had been raped when she was younger.

The former glamour model made the shock revelation last week and claimed in a TV interview that she had told Andre the identity of the attacker.

However, writing in his weekly column for New! magazine, Andre denied his estranged wife's suggestion.

"I’m really, truly sorry if this is something that happened to Kate in the past, but all I will say is I was not aware of it and it’s not something we ever discussed,” he wrote.

"When that story came out last week, it was the first I’d heard of it, and I was as shocked as everyone else.”

He added: "The only thing I knew about was the incident with the man in the park that she discussed on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories earlier this year."

The singer also used his column to deny Price's claims that he was dating another woman.

"I don’t know where she got that idea from, but she’s barking up the wrong tree,” he said.

As Entertainmentwise reported earlier, Price and Andre are set to file for divorce today at London's High Court.

The couple are expected to ask the District Judge to issue cross decrees, which would suggest they blame each other for their split in May.
