Lady GaGa has called recent speculation that she may not be all woman “ridiculous.”

Gossip over the extravagantly-styled star's gender went into overdrive following a video in which she appears to makes some 'adjustments' to her groin region on stage at the Glastonbury festival.

The speculation led to one bookmakers offering odds of 9-4 the 23-year-old singer is a hermaphrodite and 5-1 she is male.

GaGa did little to dispel rumours she's been tucking herself into her spangly leotards when she wrote on her blog: "I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female."

But during an interview on Australian radio, she said of the gender question: "It's too low brow for me to even discuss.

"I've made fun of it before but to talk about it is ridiculous."
