Katy Perry emerged from a nightclub covered in cake last night – and we're not referring to one of her food-themed outfits.

The singer left W-Hood in Los Angeles with bits of sponge, jam and cream stuck to her face, hair, body and clothes.

Despite being in the centre of what appeared to be the sticky aftermath of a raucous food fight, Katy was all smiles as she climbed into a waiting car.

We bet she creamed her opponent (sorry.)
