Macaulay Culkin has denied reports that he is the father of Michael Jackson's youngest child, Prince Michael II.

On Monday, the Sun newspaper claimed the Home Alone star, who struck up a relationship with Jackson in the early 90s, had donated sperm to help in the singer's quest for another child.

But in a statement to TMZ, Culkin's publicist rubbished the claims, described them as “too preposterous for us to even acknowledge”.

The identity of the seven-year-old child's father and surrogate mother have never officially been revealed.

Prince Michael II and Jackson's two other children – Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11 – have been in the custody of Jackson's mother since the singer's death in June.

Michael Jackson RIP

Michael Joseph Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana on August 29, 1958. He was the seventh child of nine children to Joseph and Katherine Jackson and was born into a typical working class family. The city of Gary is 25 miles from downtown Chicago and is famous for its massive steel industry. It took its name from the chairman of U.S. Steel, Elbert H Gary, and is nicknamed 'City of Century' – we're hoping for ironic reasons. (Image: WENN.com)
