Peter Andre has said he thinks he is ready to begin dating again after his split from wife Katie Price.

The Australian singer took a vow of celibacy following the estranged couple's separation in May, claiming he wanted to wait till their divorce was completed.

But in his weekly column for New! magazine, Andre revealed he was ready to go back on the market again.

"Since my split from Kate, I took a vow of celibacy, which I am still sticking to,” he wrote.

"But I might be ready to start dating again. Ideally, I would like to be divorced before I meet someone special. But if it happens, it happens."

Andre added: "I have come a long way in the last few weeks and my head is in a better place.

"You can still be celibate and date, you know!"

 Price is currently enjoying a new relationship with cage fighter Alex Reid.

Last week, Andre reportedly called a meeting with his lawyer's over Reid's relationship with his and Price's two children – Junior, 4, and Princess Tiaamii, 2.
