Reports have said that glamour model Katie Price was the at the centre of an elaborate kidnap plot on her next visit to Spain.
Russian gangsters were allegedly planning to kidnap the 31 year-old and hold her to ransom on her upcoming trip.
Price is due to travel to Marbella as part of the promotion campaign for KP Equestrian the star's range of horse riding equipment, defying the attempts of any would-be kidnappers.
A source told the Daily Star, "Kate is a brave girl. She's been through a lot and is determined not to let any villains beat her. She will go ahead with the trip because she doesn't want to let her fans down, but every measure will be taken to protect her.
"Her KP Equestrian range is already going down a storm and this is her first step towards global domination. But despite putting on a brave face in public, she will be rushing straight back home to her family."
A spokesperson for Price, who was spotted last night at David Walliams' birthday party, said, "Despite claims of abduction threats to Kate it has been checked out and we feel 100% sure of Kate's safety while in Spain. She would not be going unless we were 100% satisfied with her safety”.
