Robbie Williams Confirms X Factor Appearance

Robbie Williams has confirmed he is to appear on the next series of The X Factor.

Details are still to be finalised, but Williams is expected to perform or conduct a master class for finalists on the TV talent contest.

His rumoured participation had been the subject of intense speculation all week after a close source revealed he was scheduled to appear.

A message on Williams' website said: “You may have read news this morning about Robbie appearing on the new series of The X Factor. Well, we're very excited to tell you that this is true! 

“Details are still being finalised so make sure you stay tuned for further announcements.

“As soon as we're able to tell you more we'll let you know right here.”

Williams' appearance is likely to coincide with the release of his comeback album in the autumn.

Madonna and Rihanna are among a host of other stars who are reported to be taking part in the new series, which starts later this month.
