Katie Price has defended her decision to date cage fighter Alex Reid.

In her weekly column for OK! Magazine, the former glamour model said it was time to move on following her split from her estranged husband Peter Andre in May.

“People are saying it's too soon for me to have a new boyfriend,” she wrote.

“But it's nearly four months since me and Pete split up - and remember he walked out on me.

"I am a human being and am entitled to my own life since he walked out."

Price also admitted that she finds it hard to spend time at her Surrey home when Andre is looking after the couple's children.

“Pete’s got the children this week – and when he has them, I don’t want to be on my own in the house,” she said. “It feels empty without them there.”

In his own magazine column this week, Andre revealed he had considered reuniting with Price in a bid to save their three-and-a-half-year marriage.

But he said he had changed his mind because of his estranged wife's actions since their split.
