Jennifer Aniston has landed the lead role in a new movie about an all prison girl prison band, it's been reported.
Trade magazine Variety said Aniston would also act as a producer on Goree Girls.
The film tells the true story of a female country band who formed in a Texan prison in the 1940s and were eventually pardoned thanks to their success.
Grey Gardens' writer and director Michael Sucsy will make his big screen directorial debut with the project, which begins filming early next year.
Aniston recently completed filming on The Bounty, which also stars her reported love interest Gerard Butler.
