Michael Jackson’s three children prayed for the singer as he lay dying nearby, it's claimed.

Jackson’s chef Kai Chase – who was at the star's Los Angeles home as the drama unfolded - has described how Paris, 12, Prince, 11 and 7-year-old Blanket formed a 'prayer circle' with household staff as paramedics fought to save their father after he went into cardiac and respiratory arrest.

She said: “When he didn’t come downstairs that morning, I thought Mr Jackson was sleeping late.

“I was preparing lunch. At about noon, Dr Murray runs down the steps and screams, ‘Go get Prince!’ He’s screaming very loud. I run into the den where the kids are playing and Prince runs to Dr Murray.

“From that point you could feel the energy in the house change.

“I walked into the hall and saw the children. The daughter was crying. Paramedics ran upstairs.”

Chase recalls it was at this point that the children, their nanny, a housekeeper and Kai joined hands and started to pray in an adjoining hallway.

“We were all praying ‘Help Mr Jackson be okay’" she continued. "Then everyone was very quiet.”

Jackson was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2.26pm (Los Angeles time) on June 25.

His children are being looked after by their paternal grandmother Katherine Jackson while a permanent custody agreement is being finalised with Paris and Prince's biological mother, Debbie Rowe.
