Tom Cruise and John Travolta can keep their purification rundowns and engrams - we'd rather put our faith in Shiantology, a new religion dedicated to Transformers star Shia LaBeouf.

Shia worshipers have set up a website to celebrate the Hollywood actor, or 'The MeSHIAh' as he is known to followers.

The site proclaims: "Shiantology is a fictional religion in which Shia LaBeouf is the MeSHIAh. This fan site offers news, photos, videos and updates on Shia".

The online shrine features a picture of Shia as Jesus Christ, and another of the star naked in Michelangelo's famous Sistine Chapel ceiling painting with a cigarette in his mouth and his modesty protected only by a picture of his own face.

It all sounds far more credible than Scientology - where do we sign?!
