When it comes to the battle of the hottest TV shows, it seems the uptown Gossip Girls of NYC are running rings around the 90210 ladies of L.A.

Hollywood starlets Jessica Lowndes, Annalynne McCord and Shenae Grimes seemed to struggle in the L.A heat over the weekend, while Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Joanna Garcia posed effortlessly in a cool New York City.

The Gossip Girl stars looked impeccable on set, flaunting perfectly-toned pins from under their thigh skimming frocks.

The trio smiled for the paps, and Blake, in particular, took great pleasure in swinging her hips for onlookers.

Meanwhile, filming seemed a chore on the set of 90210.

Jessica Lowndes may have looked pretty in a strapless blue number, but even a caffeine-fix failed to put a smile on the star's face.

Things didn't look much better for Shanae Grimes, who spent most of her time going from trailer to trailer, looking pale and miserable.
