Mischa Barton is “making improvements” and is due to return to filming later this month, her publicist has said.
The 23-year-old OC star was escorted to a medical facility last Wednesday after Los Angeles police were called to her home for an undisclosed medical problem.
Unconfirmed US media reports at the time claimed Barton was admitted to a psychiatric ward.
Spokesman Craig Schneider would not elaborate on the actress's condition in a statement yesterday.
However, he told the Associated Press Barton was “still seeking treatment but making improvements”.
He also said she was expected to begin filming the next series of The Beautiful Life later this month.
The show, which see Barton play a drug-addicted supermodel, is due to go into production on July 31.
