Katie Price has revealed that she was always expecting her marriage to Peter Andre to end.

In her weekly OK! magazine column, the former glamour model said the couple had tried to make their relationship work for two years before their split in May.

She also claimed she still hadn't cried about the separation because “I did all my crying while I was married”.

“I was always expecting it to end. For two years, me and Pete - we tried, like any marriage, you do try - it was like 'If you push your luck, I will finish with you',” Price said.

“So I suppose I got to a stage where I was always expecting it.”

But she added:  “I’m so happy, whether people believe it or not, I’m in such a happy place. I have got such a big weight lifted off.”

Price also revealed that her four-year-old son Junior was the only one of her children who had begun to suspect the couple had gone their separate ways.

“Junior sort of knows there’s something going on,” she wrote.

“My mum and dad split up when I was young and I remember bits, but from Pete’s side, my side, there’s so much love going on, I think kids need that support.”

Meanwhile, Andre said yesterday that the couple had been “very amicable” to each other recently when Price dropped their children off into his custody.

“It's a priority for both of us to keep everything civil when the kids are there,” Andre added.
